If cause (5 แบบ)

หลักที่ 2 ประโยคที่บอกเงื่อนไข ( If-clause )

1.IF + PRESENT SIMPLE ( S +V1) , PRESENT SIMPLE (S +V1)
… เป็นการบอกเงื่อนไขในเรื่องที่เป็นจริง
If we heat water, it boils .

2. IF + PRESENT SIMPLE/PRESENT PERFECT (S+HAS/HAVE+V3) ,
FUTURE SIMPLE( S +(WILL/SHALL/can)+V1)
…ถ้าสิ่งหนึ่งเกิดก็จะมีสิ่งหนึ่งเกิดตามมา
If he gets up early, he can catch the bus.
If I have studied since the beginning of semester , I will pass the exams.

2.1ประโยคคำสั่ง + IF + PRESENT SIMPLE/PRESENT PECFECT
…..ใช้ในการสั่งการ หรือเชิญชวนให้ทำอะไร

Come to the party tonight if you have time/have had time

3. IF + PAST SIMPLE ( S+V2), IF +(WOULD/COULD/MIGHT) +V1
…… เรื่องที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงในปัจจุบัน

If I studied, I could pass the exams.
( I do not study, so I cannot pass the exams. )
If I were the King, I would help the poor.
( I am not the King, so I cannot help the poor.)

3.1ใช้ในการขอร้องเชิงสุภาพ
I would appreciate it if you signed this document.

3.2 ใช้ในการเสนอให้ความช่วยเหลือ
Would it be better if I took care of your kids during your vacation ?

4. IF +PAST PERFECT ( S+HAD+V3) , WOULD/COULD/MIGHT + HAVE +V3
…..เรื่องที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอดีต

If I had studied, I would have passed the exams.
( I did not study, so I could not pass the exams )
If they had behaved well last week, their parents would have taken them to the cinema.
( They did not behave well last week, so their parents did not take them to the cinema. )

5. IF + PAST PERFECT , WOULD +V1+NOW
……จะกล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงในอดีต , กับสิ่งที่ตรงข้ามกับความจริงในปัจจุบัน
If Tom had driven carefully last night, he would not be in jail now.
( Tom did not drive carefully last night, so he have to be in jail now.)
